Friday's auction was a Special Bed Cow and Heifer sale with a nice offering of good quality bred heifers in the 3rd stage that sold with good demand, several packages and small lots of bred cows mostly 5 yrs to short solid mouth in the 2nd and 3rd stage along with several pairs. A light offering of feeder cattle sold mostly in small groups, packages and singles and were lightly tested, with several small groups and packages of the better quality weaned calves under 600 lbs selling in line with last week's price ranges. Slaughter steers and heifers sold steady to 3.00 higher with slaughter cows trading steady to 4.00 higher, Supply included: 44% Feeder Cattle (28% Steers, 56% Heifers, 16% Bulls); 38% Slaughter Cattle (20% Steers, 14% Heifers, 57% Cows, 9% Bulls); 18% Replacement Cattle (24% Bred Cows, 58% Bred Heifers, 18% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 25%.

Feeder steers & heifers were weaker on the better quality on medium-large 1-2 (Market quotes are on mostly unvaccinated cattle)and lower on lower quality offering medium-short 2-3.
