Compared to the last special two weeks ago, steer calves under 650 lbs and heifer calves under 600 lbs traded with a steady to firm undertone on a light test with the exception on 450-500 lb heifers selling mostly 5.00 higher, most of the calves sold in small packages and groups. The highlight of the auction was the six pot loads of yearling heifers with a near pot load of 722 lb heifers selling 6.00 higher than a pot load of similar weight from two weeks ago, five pot loads weighing 857-1115 lbs all sold with a firm to higher undertone. Stick out sales included 2 pot loads of Large Frame heifers weighing 1115 lbs at 214.00 and a pot load weighing 857 lbs at 231.00 . Nice offering of slaughter steers and heifers (122 head) sold 2.00 higher with slaughter cows trading steady. Supply included: 77% Feeder Cattle (25% Steers, 70% Heifers, 5% Bulls); 23% Slaughter Cattle (33% Steers, 15% Heifers, 47% Cows, 6% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 72%.

Compared to last week: Feeder steers under 800 lbs steady to 3.00 lower; over 800 lbs steady to 2.00 higher. Feeder heifers steady to 2.00 lower. Steer calves steady to 4.00 lower. Heifer calves mostly steady. Demand moderate to good for all classes. Quality mostly average, few attractive. Weather remains very dry but parts of Northwestern Oklahoma is saw some moisture Monday. Unfortunately, much of the state missed out on the rain. This was the last shot of rain for a while and temps expected to reach near 90 in the coming days. Supply included: 100% Feeder Cattle (63% Steers, 33% Heifers, 4% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 61%.
