Compared to the last special two weeks ago, steer calves weighing 400-500 lbs sold 3.00-10.00 higher, 500-600 lbs sold firm to 5.00 higher, 650-700 lbs and a near load of 732 lb steers sold 6.00-8.00 higher, over 750 lbs traded with a firm to higher undertone on few comparisons. Feeder heifers weighing 550-600 lbs sold 5.00-8.00 higher and a pot load weighing 740 lbs traded 5.00 higher with all other weights selling with a firm undertone on a light offering. Slaughter cows sold 5.00-8.00 higher. Demand was good on a moderate offering with a nice quality offering of calves and yearlings with a couple stick out sales included 53 head 732 lb steers at 267.75 and a pot load steers weighing 830 lbs at 247.75. Supply included: 83% Feeder Cattle (59% Steers, 38% Heifers, 3% Bulls); 17% Slaughter Cattle (21% Steers, 4% Heifers, 64% Cows, 10% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 58%.

Compared to last week: Steers over 700 lbs steady to 2.00 higher. Steers under 700 lbs 7.00-11.00 higher with instances up to 20.00 higher on the lighter steers. Heifers over 650 lbs 5.00-8.00 higher. Heifers under 650 lbs 1.00-5.00 higher. Quality was average to attractive. Demand good. The market continues to be extremely good despite hot and dry conditions across Oklahoma. Supply included: 100% Feeder Cattle (55% Steers, 40% Heifers, 5% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 59%.

Holstein steers traded 1.00 lower on high choice and 3.00 lower on low choice and selects. Feeder steers & heifers traded weaker on the better quality on medium-large 1-2 (Market quotes are on mostly unvaccinated cattle)and 3.00-5.00 lower on lower quality medium-short 2-3. Slaughter cows traded unevenly steady on better overnight cows with good lean cows trading steady to 3.00 lower and 3.00 lower on slower cows. Slaughter bulls traded unevenly steady.
