Compared to the last special two weeks ago, steer calves under 600 lbs sold with a firm to higher undertone on a light test, the best test was on 600-700 lb steers trading 5.00-8.00 higher with 700-750 lbs selling steady. Feeder heifers were lightly tested with 450-500 lbs selling 5.00- 10.00 higher on a limited test with 500-725 lbs not well tested. Demand was moderate to good on a moderate offering with several consignments of unweaned calves mostly steers weighing 500-650 lbs with several groups of bulls. Slaughter steers and heifers sold steady to 2.00 higher with slaughter cows trading steady to 5.00 lower with the most decline on the boning and lean cows. Supply included: 82% Feeder Cattle (56% Steers, 35% Heifers, 9% Bulls); 18% Slaughter Cattle (25% Steers, 61% Cows, 14% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 52%.

Compared to last week: Feeder steers and steer calves unevenly steady except for 4 weight steers 20.00 higher. Three buyers had an order for 4 weight steers. Feeder heifers and heifer calves steady to 5.00 lower except 4 weight heifers 6.00 higher. Demand moderate. Quality was very plain until noon, then quality improved to average. The market started lower this morning and improved throughout the day. A cool front has come across Oklahoma yesterday and nights are in the 50s, calves are going to get harder to start. Supply included: 100% Feeder Cattle (60% Steers, 36% Heifers, 4% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 66%.
