Compared to the last special three weeks ago, steer calves under 550 lbs sold with a firm undertone, 550-600 lbs traded steady to 6.00 higher with over 600 lbs not well tested on comparable sales. Feeder heifers had the best test on 500-750 lb selling mostly 5.00-8.00 higher. Demand was moderate to good on a moderate supply. Overall a nice quality offering of calves and yearlings with several consignments of unweaned/short weaned calves in the offering. The largest consignment was two pot loads of Large Frame heifers weighing 1060 lbs selling at 200.00. Slaughter cows sold steady with a light test of slaughter steers and heifers trading steady to firm. Supply included: 88% Feeder Cattle (46% Steers, 48% Heifers, 5% Bulls); 12% Slaughter Cattle (18% Steers, 3% Dairy Steers, 75% Cows, 4% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 54%.

Compared to the last sale two weeks ago: Feeder steers 1.00-5.00 lower. Feeder heifers over 800lbs lightly tested but a firm undertone noted. Feeder heifers under 800lbs 2.00-7.00 lower. Steer and heifer calves 5.00-10.00 lower. Demand moderate. Quality mostly plain. This week sees an increase of unweaned calves. Weigh up conditions were in the buyer's favor. Supply included: 100% Feeder Cattle (55% Steers, 42% Heifers, 3% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 64%.

Holstein steers traded unevenly steady on high choice and 1.00-2.00 lower on low choice and selects. Feeder steers & heifers traded stronger on the better quality on medium-large 1-2 (Market quotes are on mostly unvaccinated cattle)and 5.00 higher on lower quality medium-short 2-3.
