Friday's sale receipts were very light with feeder cattle not well tested selling mostly as singles and small packages. Slaughter steers and heifers traded steady with last week with slaughter cows also selling steady. Supply included: 49% Feeder Cattle (13% Steers, 53% Heifers, 35% Bulls); 51% Slaughter Cattle (15% Steers, 71% Cows, 14% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 14%.

Compared to last week: Feeder steers weak, with instances to 5.00 lower on those over 800 lbs. Feeder heifers 2.00-5.00 higher. Steer and heifer calves steady to 4.00 higher. Demand good. Quality average. The market held together better than most thought despite heat and humidity returning to Oklahoma and cattle futures posting losses of over 2.00. Supply included: 100% Feeder Cattle (53% Steers, 0% Dairy Steers, 42% Heifers, 5% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 66%.
