Fridays auction had a light offering of replacement cows with a small consignment of good quality bred heifers in the 3rd stage that sold with good demand, few bred cows in the 2nd and 3rd stage along with a few pairs of running age cows selling with moderate demand. Feeder cattle were very lightly tested selling in small packages and mostly singles. Slaughter steers and heifers on a nice offering sold steady to 2.00 lower with slaughter cows trading steady to firm. Supply included: 39% Feeder Cattle (47% Steers, 53% Heifers); 46% Slaughter Cattle (32% Steers, 63% Cows, 5% Bulls); 15% Replacement Cattle (30% Bred Cows, 38% Bred Heifers, 33% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 46%.

Compared to last week, a light test of steer and heifer calves weighing under 600 lbs sold mostly steady to firm on comparable sales with last week, a couple groups of good quality steers weighing 660-730 lbs and a few 600-650 lb heifers all sold with a higher undertone on a light test. Demand was moderate to good on a light supply. Slaughter cows sold steady on a light test. Supply included: 92% Feeder Cattle (52% Steers, 38% Heifers, 9% Bulls); 8% Slaughter Cattle (64% Cows, 36% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 33%.
