Compared to the last special three weeks ago a much lighter offering of feeders this week, steers calves under 650 lbs and heifer calves under 600 lbs all sold with a sharply higher undertone selling mostly in small packages and groups, with steers over 650 lbs and heifers over 600 lbs trading with a firm to higher undertone on comparable sales. Demand was very good on and active market for the lighter weight steer and heifer calves with good demand on the offering over 650 lbs. Slaughter steers and heifers on a nice offering sold steady to 2.00 higher with slaughter cows trading steady. Supply included: 75% Feeder Cattle (45% Steers, 49% Heifers, 6% Bulls); 25% Slaughter Cattle (39% Steers, 9% Heifers, 43% Cows, 8% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 65%.
