Compared to last week, a very light offering this week with most of the offerings selling in small groups and singles but several groups of 400- 600 steer calves selling steady to firm, and several groups of 450-550 lb heifers selling with a firm to higher undertone. Demand was moderate to good on light receipts of feeders. Slaughter steers and heifers sold steady to firm with slaughter cows trading steady. Supply included: 63% Feeder Cattle (39% Steers, 51% Heifers, 11% Bulls); 37% Slaughter Cattle (13% Steers, 16% Heifers, 55% Cows, 16% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 32%.

Holstein steers traded steady on high choice and unevenly steady on low choice and selects.  Feeder steers & heifers traded 10.00-20.00 higher on medium-large 1-2 (Market quotes are on mostly unvaccinated cattle) and 10.00 higher on medium-short 2-3. Slaughter cows traded 1.00-2.00 higher on better cows with good lean cows unevenly steady and steady on slower cows. Slaughter bulls traded steady 2.00 higher.
