Compared to the last special two weeks ago, steer calves weighing under 600 lbs sold with a sharply higher undertone on few comparisons, 600-800 lbs sold mostly 10.00-15.00 higher, spots 20.00 higher and over 800 lbs traded with a higher undertone. Feeder heifers weighing under 500 lbs sold with a higher undertone on limited comparisons, with 500-700 lbs selling 10.00-20.00 higher, spots 25.00 higher, 700-800 lbs sold 6.00-10.00 higher and over 800 lbs traded with a higher undertone. Demand was good on a heavy supply with a good quality offering of steer and heifer calves and yearlings all selling on and active market. Demand was very good especially on steer calves for grazing weighing 450-700 lbs. Slaughter cows sold steady to firm. Supply included: 88% Feeder Cattle (52% Steers, 44% Heifers, 4% Bulls); 12% Slaughter Cattle (7% Steers, 18% Heifers, 64% Cows, 11% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 67%.

Holstein steers traded 6.00 higher on high choice and 2.00 higher on low choice and selects. Feeder steers & heifers trade was 5.00-8.00 higher on medium-large 1-2 (Market quotes are on mostly unvaccinated cattle) and stronger on medium-short 2-3. Slaughter cows traded steady to 2.00 lower on better cows and steady to 4.00 lower on slower cows. Slaughter bulls traded steady.
