PAC Meetings Provide Growers A Forum

Agricultural specialists and scientists at Mississippi State University are hosting three meetings to hear growers’ needs in research and educational programming.
The MSU Extension Service and Mississippi Agricultural and Forestry Experiment Station will host the Producer Advisory Council meetings at three of their Research and Extension Centers across the state.
The meetings will begin with general sessions before breaking off into several commodity groups. Some of the groups are agronomic crops, apiculture, aquaculture, beef, dairy, equine, forestry and wildlife, goats and sheep, horticulture, poultry, sweet potatoes, and swine.
Producers in the coastal region will meet on Jan. 25 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Coastal Research and Extension Center. The center is located at 1815 Popp’s Ferry Road in Biloxi. Producers in northern Mississippi will convene on Feb. 15 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the North Mississippi Research and Extension Center. The Central Mississippi Research and Extension Center will host producers on Feb. 20 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the McKenzie Arena, located at 1200 Seven Springs Road in Raymond.
