JENNA BRAASCH

URBANA, ILLINOIS

Discussions and decisions made during the winter months can impact managing a beef cattle operation all year. The Dudley Smith Winter Farm Meeting is a chance to come together to learn through the farm’s traditions, sustainable agriculture practices, and hands-on research opportunities.

The winter meeting will begin at 9 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 16, at the University of Illinois Extension Christian County Office located at 1120 N. Webster St. in Taylorville. A free lunch is provided.

Winter meeting topics will include:

  • Reducing fertilizer use on cattle farms.

There is no cost to attend the meeting. Advance registration is required for lunch by Feb. 13. Check out the full agenda, speakers, and registration at go.illinois.edu/DSFWinter24
