Compared to the last auction two weeks ago, (last week was a Special Bred heifer sale) very little of any one weight or quality to make good comparison, feeders sold in small lots, packages and singles with overall quality not as attractive as last sale with feeders selling with a lower undertone. There was a few packages of 600-650 lb steers that sold unevenly steady. Large offering of slaughter cows traded3.00-7.00 lower than two weeks ago with slaughter cattle trading with a lower undertone with no recent comparison for three weeks. Next week will be a Special Feeder Cattle auction. Supply included: 67% Feeder Cattle (47% Steers, 49% Heifers, 4% Bulls); 33% Slaughter Cattle (17% Steers, 10% Heifers, 67% Cows, 7% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 55%.

Supply included: 85% Feeder Cattle (50% Steers, 40% Heifers, 10% Bulls); 14% Slaughter Cattle (84% Cows, 16% Bulls); 2% Replacement Cattle (73% Bred Cows, 27% Bred Heifers). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 34%.

Holstein steers traded 3.00 higher on high choice and 4.00-5.00 lower on low choice and selects. Feeder steers & heifers lower on medium-large 1-2 (Market quotes are on mostly unvaccinated cattle) and lower on medium-short 2-3. Slaughter cows traded steady to 2.00 lower on better cows and 1.00 lower on slower cows. Slaughter bulls traded steady to 3.00 lower.
